The Pound Euro exchange rate is edging cautiously higher towards €1.12.

The BoE’s Governor Andrew Bailey sent the Pound shooting higher in the previous session, after seemingly talking down negative interest rates.

The Pound extended gains across the board despite the UK government mulling over yet tighter lockdown restrictions as covid cases remain extremely elevated.

The Euro came under some pressure after Holland extended its national lockdown into next month and Germany is considering extending the restrictions for another 8-10 weeks.
