The Pound Euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is pushing higher on Monday, retaking €1.1450.

The UK covid vaccine rollout programme hit an important milestone on Sunday. 15 million first doses of the covid vaccine have now been administered. The pressure is building on UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson to ease lockdown restrictions. He is set to lay out the path for easing restrictions on 22nd February.

The Euro has been under pressure in recent weeks owing to the slow vaccine rollout, although there are signs that this is starting to change.

There is no high impacting data from UK or Eurozone today. However, Eurozone GDP Q4 and German ZEW sentiment data is due tomorrow.
