The Pound Euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is building on gains heading towards €1.10 .
Brexit optimism lifted the Pound on Monday and continues to do so today. However, sterling fell away from session highs on Monday as it was announced that London will go back into Tier 3 lockdown as from Wednesday amid surging cases in the capital.
UK unemployment data is expected to show unemployment continues to trend higher with analysts forecasting a tick up to 5.1% in the three months to October, up from 4.8% in September.
The Euro has been underpinned by risk sentiment despite tighter lockdown conditions across the old continent.
Mid tier data is due to be released meaning sentiment will be in the driving seat.
