The US Dollar Pakistani Rupee (USD/PKR) exchange rate is edging higher in quiet trade on Monday, after falling steeply across the previous week. The pair trades +0.1% at 165.85.

The Pakistani Rupee is edging lower despite upbeat comments on exports from the advisor to the Prime Minister on finance. Exports are showing signs of recovering after plunging -19.5% year on year in August.

The US Dollar is holding onto gains from Friday after the US non-farm payroll report revealed that the unemployment rate fell by more than anticipated to 8.4% in August. This was down from 10.2% in July.
