GBP/INR has been rallying since yesterday, breaking above 99.000 for the first time since 2016. At the time of writing, the pair is trading at 99.099, up 0.40% as of 9:00 AM UTC. The price hit a daily peak at 99.313 early in the morning. Yesterday, the pound surged 0.80% against the Indian currency. The sterling flexes its muscles amid some cautious optimism surrounding the trade talks between the UK and the European Union.
The price might found support near 98.200 and resistance at the recent daily peak. The pair hasn’t been trading above the psychological level of 100.000 since the end of 2015.
