The US Dollar Indian Rupee (USD/INR) exchange rate is losing ground on Friday trading -0.3% at 73.17. The pair is on track to gain 0.1% across this week, although that could change with the release on the US jobs report.
Analysts are expecting 1.4 million jobs to be created in August, down from 1.76 million in July. The unemployment rate is expected to slip to 9.8% down from a previous 10.2%.
The Indian Rupee is advancing ahead of border talks between Indian and Chinese defence ministers. The two parties are meeting in Russia in an attempt to diffuse elevated tensions between the nuclear powers over a stretch of disputed border.
