The pound-euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is unchanged on Monday, following losses last week.
The pound is flat as investors await Thursday’s Bank of England rate decision.
The BoE is expected to cut rates by 25 basis points to 3.75%, though the vote is likely to be tight amid divisions over inflation versus labour market risks. Recent data suggest inflation is easing but remains above target.
Meanwhile, the euro is little changed despite stronger-than-expected eurozone industrial production, supporting signs of a gradual manufacturing recovery amid improving output and lower energy costs.
The data reinforces expectations that the ECB will refrain from further rate cuts.
