GBP/EUR: Pound Steadies After Heavy Fall vs. Euro As May Vows To Stay

The pound euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is falling for a second straight day.

The euro is rising after German industrial production rebounded in August, rising 2.9% MoM, after falling -2.4% in July.

The data comes after factory orders fell 5.8%, worse than the -2% decline falling.

The German economy is expected to experience a slowdown or a contraction.

The pound is falling amid a deteriorating market mood and as investors continue to digest dovish comments from BoE Governor Andrew Bailey last week. Bailey said the BoE could act more aggressively to cut rates if inflation data allows it.
