The Pound advanced in the previous session despite a lack of data. Optimism surrounding the government’s decision not to complicate the travel watchlist further appeared to lift sentiment.

UK services PMI data is in focus today. The number is expected to confirm a slow down in growth in the dominant sector amid rising covid cases and supply chain constraints.

The flash Eurozone composite PMI revealed that business activity reached a 21 year high in July, as the bloc’s economies reopened.

Eurozone retail sales are also expected to confirm another solid month of sales with 1.7% growth.
