The Pound Euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is treading water after small gain in the previous session.
The Pound edged higher on Monday after health secretary Sajid Javid told Parliament that the UK was on track to lift the last remaining covid restrictions on July 19th. His announcement came even as covid cases continue to rise. However, the death toll remains low thanks to the vaccine rollout.
There is no high impacting UK data due to be released today. UK housing figures and mortgage approvals are awaited.
The Euro will look ahead to the release of Eurozone consumer confidence which is expected to tick higher. German consumer price index is expected to show inflation eased slightly in June to 2.3% YoY, down from 2.5%
