The Pound Euro (GBP/EUR) exchange rate is trading lower at the start of the week. The pair has slipped through €1.12 and trades at €1.1182, the low of the day.
Brexit nerves are rising as the 8th round of Brexit talks are set to begin this week. They come following deadlock in the previous round of talks and as Prime Minister Boris Johnson sets 15th October as a deadline for a trade deal.
The Euro is looking ahead to German Production data and Eurozone investor confidence data for further clues over the health of the economic recovery ahead of the ECB rate decision later this week.
