GBP\/AUD has slightly increased on Tuesday Brexit hopes, but it\u2019s still under pressure as John Bercow, Speaker of the UK\u2019s House of Commons, ruled out another vote on Prime Minister Boris Johnson\u2019s latest deal.<\/p>\n

The pair has gained 0.12% to 1.8881 as of 05:00 AM UTC. The quotation tried to break the resistance line of a sideways channel yesterday but without success.<\/p>\n

Bercow Denies Another Vote<\/h2>\n

Last week, Boris Johnson reached an agreement with the European Union (EU) but couldn\u2019t pass it through the UK parliament on Saturday. He had hoped to leave the bloc by October 31, but the Saturday failure forced him to send a formal letter to extend the deadline again.<\/p>\n

Now the PM has to convince the parliament to vote the deal this week, but John Bercow ruled that another meaningful vote in the House of Commons would be \u201crepetitive and disorderly.\u201d He said<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cToday\u2019s motion is in substance the same as Saturday\u2019s motion, and the house has decided the matter. Today\u2019s circumstances are in substance the same as Saturday\u2019s circumstances.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe motion will not be debated today, as it would be repetitive and disorderly to do so,\u201d<\/em> the speaker added.<\/p>\n

For those unfamiliar, the meaningful vote is a \u201cyes or no\u201d vote.<\/strong> Since it\u2019s has been ruled out, MPs have to pass necessary Brexit legislation known as the Withdrawal Agreement Bill (WAB), which has to go through full parliamentary review in both the Commons and the Lords. However, this might take weeks rather than days.<\/p>\n

GBP\/AUD started to move slightly lower soon after Bercow voiced his refusal.<\/p>\n

Boris Johnson Urges Parliament to Back Withdrawal Bill<\/h2>\n

On the other side, Johnson appealed to lawmakers to back his Brexit bill this week. He stated that neither he, the EU or the public wanted another delay. He is now looking to pass the WAB through parliament as soon as possible.<\/p>\n
