The pound euro (GBP\/EUR<\/a>) exchange rate is unchanged on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The pound is little changed after a calm few days following the post-Budget rally, with focus shifting to next week\u2019s Bank of England rate decision.<\/p>\n

Recent comments from BoE policymakers have highlighted divisions on the MPC<\/a>: Deputy Governor Claire Lombardelli warned of upside inflation risks. At the same time, Dave Ramsden maintained confidence that inflation would fall in line with expectations.<\/p>\n

The euro is steady after firmer ECB rhetoric, with officials downplaying the need for further rate cuts.<\/p>\n
