The pound-euro (GBP\/EUR)<\/a> exchange rate remained unchanged on Monday, erasing gains made earlier in the day.<\/p>\n

The pound rose in early trade but has given back those gains amid a deteriorating economic outlook.<\/a><\/p>\n

According to Deloitte data, UK confidence has experienced its first fall in nearly three years last month, amid increased concerns over job security.<\/p>\n

The EUR is unchanged as investors await news on a EU-US trade deal ahead of the August 1st deadline. U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said he was confident that a deal could be achieved.<\/p>\n
