Average wage growth rose to 6%, up from 5.6%, and unemployment remained at 4.4%. This defied expectations of a rise of 4.5%.<\/p>\n<p>The data comes as the BoE assesses when to cut rates again. Strong wage growth could lift inflation.<\/p>\n<p>UK inflation data is due tomorrow and is expected to rise.<\/p>\n<p>The euro is falling despite stronger-than-expected German ZEW economic sentiment.
