The pound euro (GBP\/EUR<\/a>) exchange rate is falling for a fourth straight day.<\/p>\n

The pound is dropping after UK unemployment unexpectedly rose, payrolls fell to the lowest level since May 2020, and job vacancies declined for a third straight month.<\/p>\n

The data supports the view that the BoE will cut rates by 25 basis points in the February meeting.<\/p>\n

The euro rises despite weaker-than-expected German ZEW economic sentiment data. The economic sentiment index fell sharply to 10.3 from 15.7. This was below expectations of 15.3.<\/p>\n
