The Recruitment &amp; Employment Confederation showed job placement fell at the fastest pace in 5 months, and pay growth was at a 5-month low.<\/p>\n<p>The data comes ahead of UK unemployment data tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>The euro is falling after <a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/109238-gbp-eur-euro-falls-after-weaker-investor-confidence\/\">Sentix investor confidence fell<\/a> to -15.4 in September, the third straight monthly decline.<\/p>\n<p>In Germany, investor sentiment tumbled to -34.7, its lowest level since October 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The weak data raises concerns that the region could be heading towards a recession.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pound euro (GBP\/ EUR) exchange rate is rising after losses last week.
