{"id":117808,"date":"2024-05-28T18:45:44","date_gmt":"2024-05-28T17:45:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/?p=117808"},"modified":"2024-05-30T15:39:26","modified_gmt":"2024-05-30T14:39:26","slug":"109098-gbp-eur-pair-falls-to-e1-1750","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/109098-gbp-eur-pair-falls-to-e1-1750\/","title":{"rendered":"GBP\/EUR: Pair falls to \u20ac1.1750"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The pound euro exchange rate (<a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/exchange-rate\/gbp-to-eur-exchange-rate-today\/\">GBP\/EUR<\/a>) is falling after gains yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The pound is under pressure after data from the British Retail Consortium showed that <a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/109097-gbp-eur-pound-falls-as-shop-inflation-cools-to-a-2-year-low\/\">shop price inflation eased<\/a> 0.6% in April, down from 0.8%.<\/p>\n<p>UK shadow Chancellor also gave a speech ruling out new tax rises beyond those already announced.<\/p>\n<p>The euro is rising as German wholesale prices rose 0.4% MoM in April, up from 0.2% in March.<\/p>\n<p>The ECB&#8217;s consumer inflation expectations survey also showed a cooling to 2.9% from 3%.
