Concerns are rising that Iran could directly attack Israel, escalating the war in the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>The fall comes despite<a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/109026-gbp-eur-pound-falls-despite-gdp-growing-again-in-q1\/\"> UK GDP rising<\/a> 0.1%MoM in February, up from 0.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Next week UK inflation and jobs data will be released.<\/p>\n<p>The euro is under pressure this week after the ECB left rates unchanged and signaled to a June rate cut.<\/p>\n<p>German inflation cooled to 2.2% YoY in March down from 2.5%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The pound euro exchange rate (GBP\/EUR) is falling to \u20ac1.17, but is still on track to gain across the week.
