The pound euro (GBP\/EUR) exchange rate is falling for a second straight day.<\/p>\n

The euro is gaining after French and Spanish inflation<\/a> was hotter than expected as rising energy prices offset falling food prices.<\/p>\n

The data supports the ECB’s view that they are in no rush to start cutting rates.<\/p>\n

German inflation data is due later and is expected to cool to 2.6% YoY from 2.9%.<\/p>\n

The pound is struggling amid a lack of fresh catalysts.<\/p>\n

UK house prices are expected to be flat this year and rise 3% next year.<\/p>\n
