{"id":112445,"date":"2022-05-25T07:31:07","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T06:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/?p=112445"},"modified":"2022-05-25T05:42:42","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T04:42:42","slug":"107099-gbp-eur-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/107099-gbp-eur-7\/","title":{"rendered":"GBP\/EUR: Pair Rises From A Two Week Low"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pound Euro (<a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/exchange-rate\/gbp-to-eur-exchange-rate-today\/\">GBP\/EUR<\/a>) exchange rate is rebounding on Wednesday, rising from a two-week low back above \u20ac1.17.<\/p>\n<p>The Euro jumped higher after another boost from ECB&#8217;s Christine Lagarde who hinted that a 50 basis point rate hike could be a possibility if required.<\/p>\n<p>This news overshadowed weaker than forecast PMI figures for the bloc.<\/p>\n<p>Today <a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/gbp-eur-euro-looks-to-german-gdp-data\/\">German GDP data<\/a> and consumer confidence data could help the euro higher.<\/p>\n<p>The Pound fell yesterday after UK services PMI data fell to the lowest level in four months in May, raising doubts over the BoE&#8217;s ability to raise interest rates without tipping the UK economy into recession.<\/p>\n<p>There is no high impacting UK data due to be released today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pound Euro (GBP\/EUR) exchange rate is rebounding on Wednesday, rising from a two-week low back above \u20ac1.17.
