The Pound Euro (GBP\/EUR<\/a>) exchange rate is pushing higher on Friday, looking towards \u20ac1.19 after steep losses yesterday.<\/p>\n

The Pound fell yesterday even though the BoE raised interest rate by 0.25%, marking the third meeting of hikes.<\/p>\n

The rate hike takes interest rates back up to 0.75% the level that they were before the pandemic. There is no high impacting data due today.<\/p>\n

The Euro gained ground yesterday despite mixed reports from peace talks<\/a>. Today the euro is under pressure as peace talks appear to be close to collapse.<\/p>\n
