The pound fell on weaker than forecast retail sales data. Sales dropped -3.7% MoM in December as Omicron and inflation surged.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/106075-gbp-eur-business-activity-data-to-drive-the-pair\/\">UK PMI data will be in focus<\/a>. After the service sector saw activity slow in December it is expected to pick up again in January.<\/p>\n<p>Eurozone PMI data will also be in focus.
