The Pound Euro (GBP\/EUR)<\/a> exchange rate is pushing higher, rebounding after losing -0.4% in the previous session.<\/a><\/p>\n

A warning from Bank of England\u2019s Andrew Bailey, combined with a downward revision for UK manufacturing PMI hit demand for sterling.<\/p>\n

The UK economic calendar is light on Friday leaving sentiment to drive the currency.<\/p>\n

The Euro gained ground on Thursday despite mixed data. German retail sales came in well short of forecasts at -2.4% YoY against 10.2% expected.<\/p>\n

However, the manufacturing sector PMI was upwardly revised in June boosting the common currency.<\/p>\n
