Escalating tensions between the UK and the EU and the threat of trade tariffs sent sterling tumbling.<\/p>\n<p>Rising covid cases continue to unnerve investors as Prime Minister Boris Johnson says it is too soon to say if the final stage of re-opening will happen on June 21<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/105716-gbp-eur-all-eyes-to-the-ecb\/\">All eyes are on the ECB<\/a> which is due to give its monetary policy announcement.
