The Pound Euro (GBP\/EUR<\/a>) exchange rate is holding steady in early trade on Monday,<\/a> keeping above \u20ac1.16.<\/p>\n

The Pound was supported by a stream of better than expected data in the previous week; the same week than lockdown restrictions in the UK eased further.<\/p>\n

This week looks set to be much quieter on the UK economic calendar with just public sector net debt on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Covid cases are starting to rise again which could unnerve sterling investors.<\/p>\n

The Euro was supported by a weaker US Dollar, easing restrictions and\u00a0 strong PMI data in the previous week.<\/p>\n
