The pair trades at \u20ac1.1079.<\/p>\n<p>Today the EU Summit will see leader from the region meet to assess progress in <a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/news\/104546-gbp-eur-pound-holds-gains-on-hopes-of-extending-brexit-talks\/\">Brexit trade talks.<\/a> Whilst the Summit is expected to conclude that progress is still insufficient, rumours are swirling that the UK will continue trade talks.<\/p>\n<p>Today had been a self-imposed deadline by Boris Johnson to decide whether to continue talks.<\/p>\n<p>Surging covid cases in the Eurozone is dragging on demand for the Euro.
