This week the us dollar-Indian rupee exchange rate is almost unchanged, falling just -0.04%.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-button-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/exchange-rate\/usd-to-inr-exchange-rate-today\/\" class=\"su-button su-button-style-flat button-internalbutton\" style=\"color:#ffffff;background-color:#f92658;border-color:#c81f47;border-radius:5px\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"color:#ffffff;padding:0px 22px;font-size:17px;line-height:34px;border-color:#fb688b;border-radius:5px;text-shadow:none\"> Check real time USD to INR exchange rate<\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/currencylive.com\/exchange-rate\/usd-to-inr-exchange-rate-today\/\">USD\/INR<\/a> rallied to come just shy of 75.0 before correcting some of the move but remaining up on the day.<\/p>\n<h2>INR: WTO questions V-shaped recovery in trade<\/h2>\n<p>An update from the World Trade Organisation on its \u2018goods trade barometer\u2019 seemed to rattle global currencies, meaning some demand for the US dollar. The WTO said that indicators it follows suggest only a \u2018partial\u2019 uptick in world trade in the third quarter, adding that an \u2018L\u2019 rather than \u2018V\u2019 shaped recovery is still possible. An \u2018L\u2019 implies world trade would drop but never recover.<\/p>\n<p>The findings are not a huge shock, given that most economists think it will take some time for economic activity to recover for the pandemic, including the resumption of global travel.<\/p>\n<p>The prospect of a smaller \u2013 or skinnier \u2013 US stimulus bill seemed to lift the dollar, weighing on riskier currencies like the rupee. White House chief of staff Meadows told Fox News that the White House would do an interim \u2018skinny\u2019 coronavirus deal and is looking for the cooperation of Democrats to do so.<\/p>\n<h2>USD: Fed Minutes up next<\/h2>\n<p>FX markets have been relatively quiet in the run up to FOMC meeting minutes released later on Wednesday. The anticipation for the minutes relates more to a lack of other major data points this week than any expected change to the talking points from central bankers.<\/p>\n<p>The main focus will be on the Fed\u2019s outlook for growth, employment and inflation, which likely weighs up the better economic data through July with the ongoing rise in coronavirus cases, which is slowing some States ability to reopen fully.
